KL-6 KIT is used for determination of serum sialylated carbohydrate KL-6, a new marker of interstitial pneumonia (IP). KL-6 is a sialylated carbohydrate antigen strongly expressed on Type II pneumocytes in IP patients.
The principle of assay is sandwich enzyme immunoassay (EIA) that uses anti-KL-6 mouse monoclonal antibody as a solid-phase antibody and an enzyme-labeled aantibody.
