Description
Hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor (HGF) is a liver regeneration and growth factor that was isolated and purified from the plasma of fulminant hepatitis patients. In addition blood and tissue concentrations being assessed during liver injury, increases in concentration in body fluids have been reported in other types of disease besides liver disease (e.g., inflammatory diseases, neoplastic diseases, and fibrosis). HGF is secreted as an inactive single-chain pro-form, and it exerts its physiological activity after processing by HGF activator (HGFA), coagulation factor VIIa, etc., and conversion to activated HGF, a heterodimer. This product is a kit that measures human HGF by the WHO standard. This product is useful for Gastroenterology study. |
